lesbian vampires on the run
Content Warning for Gore, Rape, and Torture! Please be aware!
Sadistic Blood is an ero guro visual novel, or otherwise known as Erotic Grotesque. It is exactly as it sounds, featuring scenes that are both… well… erotic and grotesque. Sadistic blood was created by Izumi Ban’ya, a pretty famous writer also known for writing Fraternite, Gore Screaming Show, and the most well known Extravaganza. If you know any of these you can guess where this game is going, however if you’re not familiar don’t worry! I’ll be sure to give you an adequate idea. I went into this super nervous, because I’ve heard of how bad it was. I have been wanting to play this game for a while because its about lesbian vampires, who wouldn’t want to read it? But only just found the courage to finally buy it, and start it up!
So What’s The Plot and Gameplay?
Sadistic Blood centers around two vampires, Yuna and Shizuha, who are on the run from vampire hunters. The two vampires find themselves in Chisakura, a city on an island with only one way on and off, where they are met with vampire hunters trying to take their lives.

peep my cursor. woops.
The game takes place through a single night, with multiple choices deciding whether Yuna and Shizuha live or die. However, the most important choices come from the two options of being able for the two to drink each other’s blood. The game uses a counter for blood level between the two (which can be seen in between scenes) that is used to determine which of the two has the high blood level. Depending on who has the higher or lower level, the games plot can branch into different scenarios.I had a fun time experimenting with different blood levels for each character, seeing where it would end up. (Skip function is godsend during these moments!)

Blood on the left, meaning Shizuha has more blood!
Overall the game is quite short, being only listed as four hours and six minutes on VNDB. I would say my overall playtime was similar, although I did 100% complete the game and do read quite fast.
Visuals and Sound
In simple terms, Sadistic Blood’s art is amazing. Of course, when the art is by Ueda Metawo, of course it’s going to be good. Both the cg art and sprite work are extremely detailed and pleasing to look at (although that can be debated for the h-scenes lol) and give the game a great overall vibe. As well as visuals, the game also uses quite a number of visual effects during the game. These are included both during fight scenes to showcase action and when liquids are involved.
…what? They’re vampires, it’s blood. Just blood…nothing else..totally nothing else.
The voice acting is also amazing, but at the same time makes the experience more uncomfortable from the voice actors’ despairing performances. But hey, no matter if you’re playing for the guro factor or the ero factor, the voice acting could appeal to you either way.
The ost is also quite good, it really showcases not only the Victorian like vampire aesthetic of the game, but also the horror and terror that comes from the situations these girls are put in. Although looking through the ost after finishing the game I couldn’t recognize all of them, but that could simply be from me being so engrossed with what’s happening on screen. My personal favorite would have to be this one. I’m just a sucker for melancholy music.
What’s On Everyone’s Minds: Exactly How Bad Is It? (Spoiler Warning And Extreme Gore Description Below!)
Sadistic Blood is definitely one of the more gorier games I have played, with almost all the cg’s containing some type of body disfiguration or gore. The vampires in this game are obviously much stronger than the average human, so of course it is used as a plot device for how much torture these poor girls can endure. Some of the scenes are are things you would see in other eroguro’s, such as tentacle r*pe. Although, I had a hard time stomaching some of those scenes. The way they describe Gretel’s long fricking penis thing as tasting like rubber… I didn’t need that. It’s giving me the creeps just thinking about it right now.

i hate this thing.
But not only that, Sadistic Blood definitely has some more… creative scenes under it’s belt.
These scenes consist of:
- Acid being used as an Enema
- A woman’s organs being pulled out of her through her bottom and up her mouth one by one
- A woman being raped and having her arms pulled off, her eye poked out, and her rectum pulled out of her
VIVID DESCRIPTION OF GORE!
And then the most infamous one, Vampire dissection game (Full Throttle!). Yeah, you can guess where this is going just by that name. Basically, one of the vampires is caught by the hunters and sent to the ‘association’ where they experiment on and execute vampires. And unfortunately for her she happens to be sent to a doctor with his head notttt really fully there. She gets strapped to a table with cuffs on her arms and legs, her body spread out. It starts with her receiving small acupuncture needles around her nipples, in the doctors attempt to figure out how to revert her to a human. They then pierce a longer needle through her two breasts, and cut her open for her insides to be revealed on the table. Oh by the way, the whole time this is happening the doctor is also inside of her, and when he cuts her open, we can see the tip of it. Ew.
Anywho, the poor girl is nowhere near from done. With her insides open, they spill hot tea on her, specifically roasted green tea at 220 degrees as I know you all care. Over the next few weeks she eventually loses her mind, but because she is a vampire, her body is still alive. They go on to amputate her arms, tear off all her skin, and then leave her with just her head, nerves, organs, and her nipple and clitoris still attached, so she is still able to be stimulated sexually by the doctor.
DESCRIPTION OVER!
Yeah they’re pretty bad, but creative nonetheless.
Do I Recommend?
For fans of the eroguro genre really looking for something to test their limits or if you’re simply into it I do recommend. I also really liked the dynamic between Yuna and Shizuha, which in such a short time really showcased their relationship and showed how much they cared for each other. Had me rooting for them since the get go! There is also a pretty good plot twist at the end in my opinion. Also Yuna’s outfit is so cute. Just wanted to point that out.

However, there are some downsides. The plot is a bit lacking, as the length pushes it back. A lot of things are explored but never fully finished or explained. I have read that it is the first part of two games, but I’m not sure how accurate that is. The game is also quite pricey, being at 20$, which isn’t too bad, but considering its short length I wouldn’t really say it’s worth it. Waiting till it is on sale would be ideal, and then you can enjoy! Of course be wary of the content going in but if you think you’re ready I would say go for it!
